What to Call It?

I finished hooking this rug,
but don't know what to call the pattern?
My husband said it looks like one of those
 cast iron cornbread pans!
This will be my last post for a few weeks. I am heading back to Nebraska on Thursday to teach at a workshop you can read about it here.
I am going to take a few extra days to go spend some time with my family and friends. I have not been back since moving to North Carolina,
so it will be fun to go and see everyone.
I will post pictures when I get back!
Enjoy!

  3. Safe travels Cammie. I agree with your husband the rug does resemble a cast iron cornbread pan, but a very pretty cast iron cornbread pan! Greetings, Julie.

  4. I call it beautiful! I love simple designs. Sorry I'm not much help giving it a name. :-)

  5. Hi Cammie, I just joined your blog. I also hook rugs and live in NC, in the town of Summerfield near Greensboro.
I love the textures and values in this rug! I would call it "painted pickles".

    1. Hi Alicia,

I love "painted pickles" too!! Do you ever go to the hook-in in Asheville NC?

  6. Hey Cammie! I have not been to the Asheville hook-in, but I heard it was great and I plan to go next year. I've been to Caraway Rug Camp (held in June) in Asheboro twice now, as a commuter. Both times I enjoyed it very much.

    1. The Hook-In was great this year, it was my first time of attending. I am thinking about trying to vendor next year, but my fall is getting booked up. I have not been a student at Camp Caraway, but I have been there the last two years to see Anita. Maybe we will meet at one of these events one day!!

    2. That would be great fun if we could meet up some time. I noticed that you are a member of the Welcome Mat too. I love that website and have learned much from Wanda. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
